Little Ridgefield is a neighborhood within a neighborhood. Technically part of the Ridgefield subdivision, the area earned its own designation as a conservation district in 2015. Little Ridgefield stands as both part of the Ridgefield/Briarcliff neighborhood and distinct in its own manner.
The majority of the homes in Little Ridgefield were built in the 1950s and originally many followed a similar one-story ranch layout with 3-4 bedrooms and 1-2 bathrooms. There are several split level homes and only one fully two-story home within the area.
There are only three streets in Little Ridgefield: Ridgefield, Hickory, and Walnut. These three streets form a natural loop and give the small area both a unique feel and an opportunity for residents to get to know each other well -- dog walkers, exercisers, and those just taking a stroll have the opportunity to connect and interact along the way as they travel the loop.
Little Ridgefield has its own email list for neighborhood communication among residents. To subscribe, new neighbors will need to ask one of their neighbors to send a message to the list requesting they be added.
