Neighborhood email list information
An email list is available for residents of Ridgefield and Briarcliff, run through the groups.io platform. This page will provide you basic information on how to subscribe and how to search past messages (especially useful for finding vendor recommendations!). See the bottom of this page for information on the Little Ridgefield email list.
To subscribe to the Ridgefield Park/Briarcliff list, follow these steps:
The groups.io platform works similarly to what you would have experienced on the previous email list system. But, there is one great added feature, and that is that you can use hashtags within your messages to make these searchable later.
For example, if you were looking for a recommendation for an electrician, you could send your email and include #electrician and #rec (for "recommendations) in the body of the email. By using these hashtags, anyone on the list is able to go directly to the groups.io site to search past messages about electricians!
There are two things you need to undertake to do this:

The Little Ridgefield area has a separate email list for residents. To be added to this list, you will need to meet your neighbors, as the only way to be added is for a current resident to send a message to the list with your email address and a request that you be added.
To subscribe to the Ridgefield Park/Briarcliff list, follow these steps:
- Send an email to [email protected] from the email address from which you want to subscribe.
- You will receive a message asking you to confirm your subscription intentions by replying to a message. Be sure to reply to the message!
- A list moderator will then need to approve your request.
- Once approved, you're subscribed!

- Set up your groups.io password
- Visit the groups.io page for the neighborhood to search for hashtags

- Use a web browser to go to groups.io
- Click the "log in" link at the top and then select the "forgot password/set up password" link."
- Enter the email address you use for the neighborhood list.
- The system will then send you a link to create your password for the groups.io site.
- Once you create a password and login, you can access the "my lists" section to get to the neighborhood list.
Searching the list:
- Use a web browser to go to groups.io
- Click on the "log in" link at the top and use the email address and password created in the previous step.
- Click on "your groups" and select the RPBC group.
- Click on the "#hashtags" menu on the left.
- Choose the hashtag category you wish to explore.
